In this session, we will be joined by guest speakers Henry Kim, creative director at Forrec, and Virginie Valastro, producer at Moment Factory.


They will explore what blue sky thinking means, where to begin when designing an attraction or experience and how to future-proof ideas.

The Festival of Innovation will be held online from 21 to 22 January 2026 and celebrates the creative ideas, products, and organisations advancing the attractions sector.

Meet the speakers

Henry Kim is a creative director at FORREC, a Toronto-based experience design company serving clients across the world.

As a blue-sky thinker, he thrives on early-stage concept development and uses sketches, visual tools, and collaborative sessions to help teams generate exciting ideas. He is skilled at leading exploratory sessions that turn bold, imaginative thinking into clear, practical next steps.

Kim's portfolio features the Three Kingdoms Theme Park in Hangzhou, Six Flags Chongqing, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort, and the Babylon Hotel & Resort in Vietnam. Before joining FORREC, he worked on early concept development for landmark projects, such as The Palm Jumeirah and The World Islands in Dubai.

With 25 years of experience in the entertainment sector, Virginie Valastro has explored a wide range of storytelling across television, film, animation, multimedia, and web industries. She has worked with some of North America’s leading companies as production manager, line producer, associate producer, and producer.

Valastro's understanding of creative and production processes enables her to deliver engaging projects in immersive environments. Since joining Moment Factory seven years ago, she has contributed to some of the company’s most significant projects, including complex work with advanced technologies on non-traditional large-scale media canvases.

Whether liaising with stakeholders or developing efficient pipelines, her solution-focused, collaborative approach strengthens organisational flow between internal staff and client personnel, bringing out the best in project teams.
