Embed showcases STATS at Amusement Expo International 2023

News
Embed AEI 2023

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, exhibited at Amusement Expo International (AEI) in Las Vegas from 29 – 30 March 2023. During the show, the team demonstrated STATS, its new data visualisation dashboard, which had already proved popular at DEAL 2023 earlier in the month and enjoyed a successful launch at IAAPA Expo 2022 in November.

STATS has a proven track record of success in advancing the capabilities of Software as a Service (SaaS) products for family entertainment centres. Embed’s data and report visualisation tool, developed in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is intended to assist FECs globally in transforming guest experiences, enhancing operational effectiveness, and increasing income by utilising data.

Embed’s chief management consultant, Kash Ahmad, says: ”STATS is on a roll – such a fantastic uptake of this breakthrough innovation at AEI! We have loyal customers who are thrilled to apply this cloud-based solution in their venue that has AWS in the backend – we had sign-ups from both single and multi-location customers since STATS is designed for operators of all business sizes.”

Highlighting STATS and Mobile Wallet

“We just love the curiosity and feedback we are getting from customers and prospects about the virtue of SaaS products like STATS,” adds Renee Welsh, CEO at Embed. “We are just as excited to move FECs forward to digitalisation and automation with STATS, helping operators eliminate manual and counterproductive data work and start making informed business decisions on staffing levels, scheduling, revenue forecasting, and even inventory through real-time reports.”

For accessibility, security, and low latency, STATS’ comprehensive, dynamic visualised data reporting is built on AWS’s worldwide cloud infrastructure.

Embed customers have also reported excellent results from another of the company’s innovations, the Mobile Wallet, which launched in 2019. The virtual game card is still the only non-banking, non-finance, or loyalty brand certified by Apple and Google. It sits in a customer’s Apple Wallet or Google Pay, with no additional app download required.

FEC operators who use Mobile Wallet have seen a reload value that is five times that of cash, and a $50.57 average Mobile Wallet reload value. This is compared to a $31.95 reload value when guests use a credit card to top up their game cards. Plus, 60% of Mobile Wallet reloads happen offsite. When they are at the venue, visitors can reload from their phones without having to leave their game.

“Embed’s Mobile Wallet metric performance results are simply transformational and I loved sharing it with customers and industry media! The fact that there’s no risk of losing the game card frees a consumer to go big when reloading their game card because it sits in their mobile wallet along with their credit cards, protected by secure mobile encryption technology,” says Sara Paz, CMO at Embed.

“There’s also no barrier to entry because there’s no app to download. Consumers will not download an app that doesn’t offer wide value, which is just more work for operators to maintain versus the straight-forward solution of adding a game card to the mobile wallet, done simply by scanning a QR code.”

Events, education sessions and more

During the show, the Embed team also took part in some educational sessions, hosted happy hour events, and more. In a session called Beyond the Transaction, Kash Ahmad joined a group of panellists to explore how card reader systems can help boost revenue by tracking game and guest metrics.

Elsewhere, Rev’Up Fun, which has used the Embed card system since 2018, was named “FEC of the Year” by the American Amusement Machine Association.

The Embed team offered free demos of the firm’s innovations and engaged customers and prospects over Happy Hour sessions, and the sales team also connected with customers over dinner meetings.

Finally, Embed participated in the All-Industry Reception and Beers & Cheers events hosted by the Amusement and Music Operators Association (AMOA).

This summer, Embed will exhibit at SEA 2023 in Saudi Arabia and IAAPA Expo Asia in Singapore.

Embed recently marked this year’s International Women’s Day by launching its new #womeninaction campaign and highlighting its Women in Action podcast series.
