Lagotronics Projects, the media-based attractions specialist, has delivered its latest audiovisual installation over several floors for an FEC in Qatar. The firm was commissioned by The Aura Group, a division of Aura Entertainment Services, to work on functional and decorative lighting, interactive attractions, show control and all audio and video content.
The WOW FEC can is found on Lusail Boulevard, near Lusail metro station, embodying the ultra-modern atmosphere of metropolitan living while seamlessly blending with Qatar’s rich culture.
The World of Wonders is a family entertainment complex with a lot to offer. The FEC is divided into numerous thematic regions based on nature and the environment. The Arctic Zone, Jungle, and Magma Zone, for example, define the first floor.
Visitors are completely immersed in the themes thanks to mood lighting, background music, and theming. The FEC mixes large-scale play equipment, slides, and a massive climbing wall with new and digital technology such as arcade games and tailored interactive gaming experiences. For the elder generations, typical FEC attractions such as a bowling lane and a laser tag area are also available.
AV elements and lighting
The majority of Lagotronics Projects‘ work on the project involves audiovisual elements and ornamental lights. A massive curving 45-metre-long LED Wall, for example, has been placed at the entryway, and dozens of LED screens with video programming have been integrated. For background music and sound effects, speakers have been installed in each zone.
The show control system, which is at the centre of the experience, was created in-house. All show equipment was programmed on-site to the customer’s specifications. There is a day and night programme, for example, that switches automatically at predetermined periods. Touch panels allow for quick and easy adjustment of zone volumes and other settings.
Designing the ambience
Lagotronics Projects also provided all audio and visual content in addition to the hardware. Each location has its own customised background music, with the calm of the ocean in the Aqua Area and energetic sounds in the Jungle Area as examples. The numerous back-of-house amenities and toilets have also been considered to ensure that guests remain engaged in these unique universes. Music can be easily streamed in the F&B areas, and music supplied by visitors can be played during birthday parties in the Party Rooms.
Lighting has been provided for both functional (F&B sections, shops, and back-of-house) and show purposes. RGB LED lamps provide ambient lighting in all zones, enhancing the scenery. Using various types of spotlights, hues, and light intensity, the perfect mood has been produced in each zone. Cold and white tones, for example, are employed in the Arctic Zone, whilst warm and dark tones are used in the Magma Zone to create a volcanic appearance.
Interactive fun
In addition to audiovisual, lighting, SFX, and show control, the FEC contains several interactive experiences. A GameCabIN featuring the Snow Frenzy game has been placed in the Arctic Zone. During this interactive game, participants engage in a snowball fight at a mountain ski resort. Shooting snowballs with interactive shooters earns points. Following the game, the final scores of each player are displayed on a little display.
Lagotronics has created a unique interactive experience for Aura in the Aqua Zone. An undersea realm where players must look for wealth. Explore the seafloor and grab as much treasure as you can. You can also get points by cleaning up trash in the ocean. Players can walk through the undersea habitat and remove plastic and other debris by using a joystick with push buttons. This edutainment attraction not only entertains tourists but also conveys an important message about sustainability.
Lagotronics was also recently involved in the completion of RemarkaBall with Jora Vision, a unique golfing experience found in Deauville, France.
