New innovation offers a shared emotional experience

SimEx-Iwerks, a pioneer in developing immersive cinematic experiences, has announced its newest innovation, Vision 360. This is a fully LED, immersive experience offering a 360-degree view that captivates audiences with choreographed storytelling, striking visuals, dramatic sound, and subtle special effects.

Guests are completely immersed in stunning scenes that encircle them from all sides, including the ceiling.

The design encourages guests to explore the space freely. Thoughtfully timed editing and spatial audio cues naturally direct their focus, making the experience intuitive and engaging for visitors of all ages.

Letting imagery tell the story

“We want families and friends to experience something together, those awe-filled moments where kids are tugging on their parentsʼ sleeves in excitement,ˮ says Kate Magnusson, vice president of marketing and partnerships at SimEx-Iwerks.

“Our shows are visually driven, without narration, letting the imagery tell the story.ˮ

SimEx-Iwerksʼ first Vision 360 production will celebrate the beauty and resilience of the natural world.

With expansive landscapes, encounters with animals, and a compelling cinematic score, the show highlights moments that transcend traditional storytelling. It demonstrates how Vision 360 can take audiences anywhere, seamlessly blending entertainment with educational content.

Vision 360 can be installed as a standalone structure or customised to fit into an existing space. Optional bench seating and accessibility features ensure all visitors can participate comfortably.

“Vision 360 is a highly profitable attraction with strong ticket revenue potential,ˮ adds Magnusson. “Weʼre excited for venues to invite guests to step into a new reality.ˮ

Earlier this month, SimEx-Iwerks and Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois, announced the signing of the all-new Immersion Theater. This next-generation 4D Experience is created to immerse guests in the heart of the aquatic world through a fully reimagined, multi-sensory journey. The new attraction is scheduled to open in spring 2026.

Next week, SimEx-Iwerks will present its full portfolio of cinematic and nature attractions at IAAPA Expo 2025 in Orlando, where the team can be found at booth #1652.
