Imagine Hospitality, founded by pioneers of the original Great Wolf Lodge portfolio, has announced Hollister, Missouri as the location for its long-awaited family destination resort with a themed water park.
Imagine Hospitality is a hospitality and management company, founded by the innovators of the original Great Wolf Lodge portfolio.
The company’s 575,000-square-foot resort will be situated on 68 acres and will house various amenities inspired by popular entertainment, attraction and media brands.
With an investment of $300 million, the project is estimated to create 450 new jobs. It will include the following features:
- 100,000-square-foot indoor themed waterpark
- 450 guest rooms and cabins, some themed
- 6 to 8 themed restaurants and dining experiences
- 40,000 square feet of family entertainment space
- 10,000 square feet of retail space
- 30,000 square feet of convention space
- Adult spas and themed children’s spas
Imagine Resorts is investing $300 million

Imagine Resorts hopes to break ground on the project in the first half of 2021, with the grand opening scheduled for 2023.

Imagine Resorts sets grand opening for 2023

Rick Ziegenfuss, city administrator for Hollister, added: “During the past three years we have worked closely with the Imagine team to bring this new and exciting leisure destination to our community.

Meanwhile, Oxfordshire County Council has objected to plans to build aĀ Great Wolf Lodge close to Chesterton and Bicester.
