The Walloon Government is in negotiations with Merlin Entertainments for a Legoland theme park in Belgium, while Brick Or Treat returns to Legoland Windsor Resort this Halloween.
According to The Brussels Times, Walloon Minister for the Economy Willy Borsus confirmed that a Legoland amusement park could be heading to Belgium.
The publication reports that the attraction would be located at the former Caterpillar site in Gosselies, near Charleroi in the province of Hainaut.
The news was also reported by LN24 and L’Echo. The negotiations are apparently still in a study phase, according to Borsus.
Legoland New York Resort previously delayed its opening date until 2021. The world’s largest Legoland theme park was set to welcome guests from July 4, 2020, before the global outbreak of COVID-19.
Prior to that, Merlin Entertainments announced an agreement to develop the Legoland Shanghai Resort in the Jinshan District of Shanghai, China.
Halloween returns to Legoland Windsor Resort

Meanwhile, Merlin has revealed that Brick Or Treat is returning to Legoland Windsor Resort for Halloween, from October 15 to November 8.
The latest addition to the Brick or Treat experience is a new Haunted Lighthouse Halloween Show, featuring supernatural songs and dazzling dances, at Heartlake City.
Visitors can take on the Brick or Treat Trail to find Monster Rocker’s hidden surprises, visit the Enchanted Forest for a spooky walkthrough, and have photos taken with giant Lego pumpkin heads.
“We’re really excited to bring Brick or Treat back to Legoland Windsor this Halloween,” said Hannah Ratcliffe, head of entertainment at Legoland Windsor.
“It’s one of our favourite times of year as we give the entire resort a suitably spooky makeover. There is something for all ages, whether it’s our rides and attractions or shows and experiences. We can’t wait to see everyone and hope to see them in fancy dress!”
