New show uses drones, lasers, fountain displays, projections and fireworks

Disneyland Paris has unveiled ‘Disney Tales of Magic’, its new immersive nighttime spectacular featuring drones, lasers, fountain displays, projections and fireworks.

Launching on 10 January, the new show will immerse visitors in Disney and Pixar stories such as Pinocchio, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Lilo & Stitch, Encanto, Coco, Inside Out, Toy Story and WALL-E.

The 20-minute nighttime spectacular uses a new immersive audio system, new lighting fixtures, and a new architectural LED lighting package.

The show’s drones are operated by Disneyland Paris’ official technology provider Dronisos, a leading drone light show specialist. These will form 3D figures in the sky above the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

“At Disneyland Paris, we’ve always strived to push the boundaries of what’s possible in nighttime entertainment, and Disney Tales of Magic takes that vision even further,” said Natacha Rafalski, présidente of Disneyland Paris.

“Our teams have crafted something truly magical, an experience that will captivate and inspire guests for years to come.

“Building on our legacy of innovation, creativity, and storytelling, we’re excited for this show to become a lasting part of the story of Disneyland Park.”

Projections on Main Street U.S.A.

With this spectacular, Disneyland Paris is pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity by offering projections on Main Street U.S.A. for the first time.

Hidden along Main Street, U.S.A. will be 20 super bright HD LED video projectors to transform the space into enchanting settings, including a ballroom where Cinderella and Price Charming dance under the stars, a colourful Colombian village inspired by Encanto, and memory spheres inside Riley’s mind from Inside Out.

Speaking to blooloop earlier this year, Rafalski said Disneyland Paris is in “the midst of an unprecedented transformation”. This includes a €2 billion expansion plan for Walt Disney Studios Park, which will become Disney Adventure World when the new World of Frozen land opens in 2026.
