Creative Studio Berlin, the experiential design firm, has been honoured with two industry accolades that illustrate the company's continued dedication to innovation and excellence in immersive entertainment.

These awards mark individual and team achievements, and spotlight the creative vision and technical expertise that serve as the foundation for Creative Studio Berlin's projects.

Thea Award recognition

The studio's project, The Secret Laboratory at Schloss Augustusburg, has been honoured with a Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Historical Experience on a Limited Budget category.

Created in partnership with THE ROOM Laboratories and the historians at Schloss Augustusburg, this project offers an immersive educational experience that reimagines history as a tangible, interactive adventure.

The Secret Laboratory is a 50-minute programme for 24 students that enables them to discover the passions of Duke August and Anna of Saxony through hands-on workshops exploring mining and alchemy.

Delivered within Schloss Augustusburg's historic rooms, the sessions offer students the opportunity to engage with history in a meaningful and memorable way.

The concept offers an innovative approach to location-based edutainment, presenting two distinct narratives within the same historic space.

This allows the heritage site to serve several audiences at the same time without compromising the experience's integrity or quality.

By making history interactive, immersive, and emotionally impactful, the project shows how heritage sites can offer fresh, engaging learning experiences while maintaining their cultural significance.

"Creative Studio Berlin is immensely grateful to the Themed Entertainment Association and the Thea Judging Committee for this recognition," says a spokesperson from the firm.

"The award affirms the potential for creativity and collaboration to bring historical narratives to life and inspire the next generation of learners and visitors."

Immersive Influencer accolade

In addition to the company's Thea award success, its creative leader, Chris Lange, has once again been recognised in the blooloop 50, this year in the Immersive Influencer category.

Lange has been included in the list in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023. This consistent acknowledgement highlights Chris as one of the most influential figures in the immersive entertainment industry and emphasises his ongoing role in creating experiences that inspire, engage, and challenge audiences.

"Chris has been at the forefront of developing projects that combine creativity, technology, and storytelling in ways that resonate with diverse audiences," says the firm.

"From concept to execution, his work exemplifies the innovative thinking and leadership that continue to set industry standards.

"We extend our warmest congratulations to Chris and his fellow Top 50 Influencers – your vision and dedication continue to drive the immersive sector forward."

Through these achievements, both individual and collective, Creative Studio Berlin continues to demonstrate its dedication to expanding the boundaries of immersive entertainment, blending storytelling, technology, and education to craft experiences that make an enduring impact.

In October, Creative Studio Berlin shared its 2025 successes as it prepares to continue its strong momentum into 2026. Seven of the company's projects have opened to visitors this year.
