Polish indoor theme park Mandoria has announced it is opening its new Aquila roller coaster on 19 January.
Billed as the park’s most extreme attraction, Aquila is a family launched coaster by Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist.
It is the centrepiece of a new zone at Mandoria, Europe’s largest indoor amusement park. Aquila is Mandoria’s fourth coaster, and the first of its kind to be fully enclosed under a roof.
Located in a 25-metre-high tower, the ride reaches speeds of 70 km/h in just 3 seconds, and features sudden turns, steep inclines, and surprising twists.

Also, guests as short as 95cm will be able to ride the attraction, a first for a roller coaster in Poland.
Located alongside the Ptak Outlet mall in Rzgow near the city of Łódź, Mandoria opened in July 2021. It is themed around an imaginary Renaissance-era trading port.
Daniel Zieliński, vice president of Mandoria, said in a statement: “Mandoria will continue to captivate with the atmosphere of a 16th-century trade city, where every attraction is carefully matched to the setting.
“Thanks to the construction of the impressive 25-meter tower, Aquila – our fourth roller coaster – will become the most extreme attraction in Mandoria’s history.
“This groundbreaking project introduces a completely new dimension of entertainment. The entire roller coaster track is hidden within a building, ensuring year-round accessibility.

“The rapid acceleration to 70 km/h in three seconds, surprising turns, and sharp twists guarantee exceptional emotions, raising the bar for all thrill-seekers.”
Mandoria offers more than 30 attractions, including three coasters, several carousels, a huge mirror maze, and an enormous slide.
Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Mandoria’s chief business development officer, and Leroy Koevoets, the park’s creative director, recently spoke to blooloop.
In more news for Poland, the country’s first LGBT+ museum, the QueerMuzeum, is now open to visitors in Warsaw.
