SEA (Saudi Entertainment and Amusement) Expo, the Middle East’s largest gathering of leisure and entertainment professionals, will hold its seventh edition at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center from 20 to 22 May 2025

Saudi Arabia is emerging as a key player in the global entertainment scene as part of its Vision 2030 plans. The event will bring together leaders, investors, and creative thinkers from around the world to discuss and influence the future of the entertainment industry in the region.

Why attend SEA Expo 2025?

SEA Expo 2025 is co-located with Saudi Light & Sound (SLS) Expo. This combination of distinctive industry events will bring in an audience of more than 25,000 attendees, 500 exhibitors, and over 100 thought leaders.

The free-to-attend event features a comprehensive agenda. This features over 75 global thought leaders and industry influencers, who will deliver keynotes, panel discussions, and fireside chats.

SEA Expo to highlight training and development

The expo will also showcase more than 300 local and global brands. It is expected to welcome over 15,000 entertainment industry professionals, serving as a key platform for international collaborations and significant investments.

Attendees can discover the innovative technologies that are shaping the future of the sector. Exhibits range from VR and AR to immersive gaming and AI-driven entertainment solutions.

In addition, the expo provides opportunities to network with investors and decision-makers. This helps to foster collaboration and unlock opportunities for expansion in the region.

Tuesday 20 May

The SEA Summit kicks off on Tuesday with opening remarks by the chairperson. Then, attendees can watch the opening keynote, Partnership in Practice: Building Saudi’s Next Entertainment Hubs.

This panel will discuss how partnerships are transforming the entertainment sector in the Middle East. The moderator, Neil Dwyer of Six Flags Qiddiya, will be joined by Abdulelah Al Fawzan from Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), Fahad Alobailan of Baan Holding Group, and Renee Welsh from Embed.

Dwyer will then moderate From Sand to Screens: Saudi IPs Taking Center Stage Globally. This explores strategies for developing, monetising, and globalising Saudi Arabia’s IP across entertainment platforms. Speakers include Karim Alayat of SEVEN and Abdullah Al Munajem from Woosh.

Travis Kline from the Royal Commission for Al-Ula will lead a fireside chat. This is called Rules & Revelry: Crafting a Thriving Investment Ecosystem in Saudi Entertainment. The session explores how the Middle East can simplify regulations to boost innovation and investor confidence.

Beyond the Game: Scoring Big with Saudi’s Sports, Tourism & Entertainment Synergy will explore how Saudi Arabia’s sports and tourism sectors can drive entertainment innovation, investment, and audience engagement. The speakers are TAIT‘s Amin Rashmani and Soren West.

In Cultural Currents: Weaving Saudi Heritage into Global Entertainment Tapestries, Turab Saleem of Knight Frank Middle East and Wajdi M. Haider from Saudi Cruise will discuss how the Kingdom can leverage its rich heritage to create immersive attractions that captivate global audiences.

The final session is Talenttainment: Crafting Saudi’s Entertainment Workforce of Tomorrow. This will explore developing a sustainable talent pipeline. Dwyer moderates the discussion between Hisham AlAali of Six Flags Qiddiya City, Eihab Abourokbah from the Saudi Entertainment Academy, Milton Dsouza of Sela and Mohammed Al Taifi of Baan Holding Group.

Wednesday 21 May

As day two chairperson, Yael Coifman of Leisure Development Partners will start day two with opening remarks. Ben Thompson of Storyland Studios moderates the opening keynote panel: Family Entertainment Centers: Powering Saudi Arabia’s Leisure Revolution.

The speakers will evaluate the evolving role of FECs in Saudi Arabia’s entertainment landscape, analysing investment potential, operational challenges, and strategies to create engaging, future-proof destinations that cater to families and young audiences.

Then, Saleem of Knight Frank Middle East returns to moderate Bites, Beats & Play: The Rise of Social Entertainment & F&B-Led Experiences. He will be joined by Jan Michael Taylor from Six Flags Qiddiya City to look at the fusion of experiential dining, social gaming, and immersive nightlife.

In Chilling Profits: The Rise of Snow Attractions in the GCC, attendees will learn why ski resorts, snow parks, and hybrid leisure destinations are gaining traction in the region. The speaker is Wim Hubrechtsen of Snow World, UK.

Aquarabia’s Leander De Wit and Danielle Tanton of RWS Global will speak in Retailtainment Reimagined: Unlocking Revenue Beyond the Gates. This session will examine how retailtainment can drive new revenue streams by enhancing the guest experience and capitalising on experiential retail trends.

In the evening, Miral’s Hind Galadari will lead a fireside chat: From Screens to Scenes: Winning Over Gen Z with Physical Experiences. This panel will explore strategies to bridge the gap between digital and physical entertainment to attract Gen Z audiences.

Coifman will lead the final session of the day, Kinnections: Designing Multigenerational Experiences in Leisure Spaces. She will be joined by Matt Dawson of RWS Global.

Thursday 22 May

The day three chairperson will open proceedings on Thursday, followed by a session called Thrillonomics: Balancing Value and Profit in Saudi’s Attractions. In this, attendees will learn about the investment strategies, revenue diversification, and innovative pricing models shaping Saudi Arabia’s entertainment landscape.

Next, The Future of Esports: A Sport or Just Play will look at whether esports should be recognised as a legitimate sport. It will also explore how it fits into Saudi Arabia’s long-term entertainment and tourism vision.

Scott Wellington from Red Sea Global will present Eco-tainment: Weaving Sustainability into Saudi’s Entertainment Adventures. Saudi Arabia plans to restore 40 million hectares of the desert under the Saudi Green Initiative, aiming to boost eco-tourism. This session explores how Saudi Arabia’s entertainment sector is incorporating sustainability practices, transforming eco-friendly experiences into both a visitor draw and a competitive edge in the global tourism market.

In AI on Track: Steering Smart Attractions into the Future, Jamil Malek from Baan Holding Group will explain how the AI and data analytics sector in Saudi Arabia is experiencing significant growth, and how this is transforming entertainment business models.

Later, Beyond Coins and Cards: Revolutionizing Visitor Payments in Saudi Attractions will discuss how Saudi attractions can adopt cashless technologies like mobile wallets and blockchain. It will also look at how this can enhance efficiency and visitor satisfaction. 

The final session, The Experience Economy – Unlocking Saudi’s Next Entertainment Wave, will explore the convergence of AI, sustainability, social entertainment, and next-gen retailtainment to define Saudi’s next era of entertainment, before the chairperson’s closing remarks.

Meet the exhibitors at SEA Expo 2025

accesso Technology Group PLC, a leading technology provider for attractions worldwide, invites delegates to experience the future of guest engagement at SEA Expo 2025.

At SEA Expo 2025, Alterface is showcasing projects including Action League Popcorn Revenge.  Now open at Suzhou Paradise Forest World in China, this world-first attraction combines competitive gameplay with ultra-dynamic multi-axis rotation. Guests form teams and compete in challenges. Meanwhile, the dynamic rotation system keeps the action engaging by shuffling teams between rounds, making each match feel unique.

Alterface opens first Action League attraction in China

The team will also present SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride, which opened in March 2024 at Land of Legends in Turkey. Powered by Alterface’s interactive technology and show control system, riders join the characters on a fast-paced carnival adventure. They can hit targets and uncover hidden secrets while defending the Krabby Patty formula from Plankton’s schemes.

The Enchanted Greenhouse will open soon at Six Flags Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia. This will invite guests to explore a long-abandoned greenhouse filled with mystery and hidden life. Developed in collaboration with Jora Vision and ETF Ride Systems, the attraction goes beyond traditional gameplay to offer a cooperative adventure set in a magical, immersive environment.

Attractions.io – booth #4C441

Attractions.io, a leading creator of mobile visitor apps, will be at the Experience UK booth during the show.

The company helps guest attractions deliver connected, data-driven experiences that guests love and operators rely on. At SEA Expo, it will showcase how its solutions are helping leading attractions improve satisfaction, streamline operations, and unlock new commercial opportunities.

Brogent Technologies Inc., a leading manufacturer of media-based attractions, will unveil its latest innovations at SEA Expo 2025. This year marks a significant milestone as it prepares to launch multiple new attractions worldwide.

These include a motion ride based on a renowned intellectual property. It also presents a state-of-the-art flying theatre, developed in partnership with Takwenat. This will bring the first and largest flying theatre to Saudi Arabia and deliver cutting-edge entertainment experiences to the Middle East.

CONDUCTR, the UK-based creative innovation studio powered by technology, has been a consultant on multiple projects in the Middle East region. It has several developments under NDA in the pipeline over the next few years.

Most recently, the company debuted Glow Court, the world’s first outdoor interactive LED sports court. Designed for Norwegian Cruise Lines in a collaboration with the NCL Innovation Team, the court is situated on the top deck of the newly launched Norwegian Aqua vessel.

CONDUCTR’s Game Volt-powered Supercharged Shuffleboard has also just made its Middle Eastern debut, with over 100 installations worldwide. It forms part of the wider entertainment offering in HUSHH. This is Dubai’s premier social entertainment hub, where gaming, nightlife, and luxury come together in the heart of Downtown Dubai.

Sub Sea Systems – booth #4B490

Sub Sea Systems, Inc. (SSS), a company specialising in immersive, memorable and hands-on encounters that educate through entertainment, will present its range of products, including Aquaticar, SeaTREK, DIVR+, SolarCat, Kaimana, and DIVE BELL. The world’s first installation of Aquaticar will be in this region, at Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia.

Last year, the company won two IAAPA Brass Ring Awards for its Adapted SeaTREK product. This is the world’s first integrated helmet diving device that includes an underwater wheelchair, making underwater adventures accessible.

Triotech – booth #3B301

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, is bringing some of its most ambitious projects to life in the Middle East, reinforcing its presence in this fast-growing market. This includes Into the Deep at Six Flags Qiddiya City, Triotech’s largest-ever interactive dark ride. Into the Deep features real-time gameplay and immersive storytelling.

Additionally, Transformers for SEVEN is set to deliver a high-energy, media-based dark ride experience. Triotech is also working on a new series of multiple dark rides for SEVEN Discovery Centers, designed to bring immersive storytelling to a new generation of visitors in Saudi Arabia.

Vekoma – booth #3C399

Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist, will share new products in its portfolio at SEA Expo 2025. The most recent openings are the world’s first Switchback Coaster at Dreamworld in Australia. Jungle Rush surprises riders in many ways – train orientation, inclined turntable, forceful ride experience for a family coaster, fantastic layout, and theming. Together, this creates a unique family-thrill coaster experience.

North America’s first Super Boomerang opened at Six Flags Great Adventure. THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity is engineered to give riders the sensation of racing through the air at lightning-fast speeds. The themed train features onboard lighting and audio. In a compact space and with a minimum height requirement of just 48 inches, this multi-launch coaster will provide an accessible, action-packed experience.

Vekoma Iron Rattler

For the 2025 season, Vekoma will present different family and thrill coasters worldwide. This includes the Tilt Coasters at Cedar Point and COTA in the USA. Meanwhile, the world’s tallest Tilt Coaster, Iron Rattler, is rising at Six Flags Qiddiya City.

Viewpoint Videos – booth #4C441

Viewpoint Videos, a leading supplier of customer experience videos, will be at the Experience UK stand at SEA Expo 2025.

The company supplies souvenir video systems to attractions worldwide. Its wearable cameras capture a unique perspective of guests’ experiences and create great memories of their day. The branded video is available on the guest’s phone and can be sold on the day or online. Souvenir videos drive revenue and raise the profile of the activities when shared online.

WhiteWater – booth #4C469

At SEA Expo 2025, WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, will showcase an extensive portfolio of water attractions. From design to engineering, manufacturing to installation and maintenance, the company is a one-stop shop for greenfield parks and expansions.

WhiteWater’s product range includes water slides, interactive multi-level aquatic play structures, wave-generating equipment, water rides, FlowRider surf machines, FlowSurf deep flow stationary wave systems, Endless Surf lagoons, and Vantage attractions management software.

The team will also exhibit how different attractions can optimally serve different venues. Clients include indoor and outdoor water parks, theme parks, hotels, resorts, and cruise ships, as well as mixed-use developments. Show visitors will meet members of WhiteWater’s Middle East office, which has been serving the region since 2006.

Meryal Water Park, Qatar SEA Expo 2025

Projects that have opened in recent years include Meryal Waterpark in Qatar, Jungle Bay Waterpark at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort in the UAE, and Marassi Water World in Egypt.

In the coming year, several projects are anticipated to open. This includes an expansion with 18 new rides across 16,900 sqm at Yas Waterworld, a 20,000 sqm water park at Grand Hyatt Dubai, and Aquarabia Qiddiya City, with 22 rides and attractions, including two water-based amusement rides and an Endless Surf lagoon. This will also be the Kingdom’s first inland surf experience.

ZIERER, a leading manufacturer of family-friendly amusement rides, will be present for the third time at SEA Show to expand its business activities in Saudi Arabia/Middle East. It has many projects going on in this region.

Jet-Skis-at-Legoland-Dubai-Zierer SEA Expo 2025

Recent projects include three rides in Legoland Dubai (Dragon Coaster/Duplo Planes and Jet Skis), SEGA Amusement in Dubai Mall, and Tamdeen Entertainment in Kuwait, which has in former years installed a Family Freefall Tower.

Last month, ZIERER shared details of its project to replace the ageing Medium Tivoli Coaster at Tobu Zoo in Japan with an identical replica.
